Charles D. Barnette
Here is the Russian version of the 1951 LeSabre Motorama Show Car. Top picture is the real Russian car, and the bottom picture is a 1/43 scale model of the car. Charles D. Barnette
jscheib
Charles,Do you have any idea if the real car still exists?By the way, I like the windows in the model better. It looks more like it could be an airplane.John
Charles D. Barnette
I do not know if this car still exists or not. Actually there were three versions of this concept car built. It was called ZIS-112. The second version had a split windshield with a removable hardtop. The third version had a permanent hardtop with a split windshield. I believe my model which I purchased on ebay depicts the third version. The Russians seemed to go backwards in design with each car. I did find this site which explains this car with more information. Please go to www.Kustomrama.com/index.php?title=ZIS_-_112

Reatta Man
1951, huh? Is that the one where the front seat can be moved very close to the steering wheel so a North Korean can drive it? Never mind....
