palbuick

Recommended Posts

I got this emblem in a box of NOS Buick parts,
along with a few Cad. parts. I know it is not Buick, possibly Cad. or LaSalle. It is 4 1/2" high and 2" wide, it has two threaded studs on back. Possibly for a grille
Any help to ID appreciated.
clicl on infopo.com for picture
Jim Schilf / palbuick@aol.com
http:www.infopop.com

Cadillac - Mid to late '30s, very likely '38
I am away from my reference books for a few days, otherwise I could give you and exact answer. ~ hvs

I also was thinking a 1938 Cadillac.
Up to a few years ago, a member of our region had a 1938 Cadillac limosine that belonged to a member of the Dupont family. Thought the emblem looked familiar.
Did some checking and found the following URL: http://icdweb.cc.purdue.edu/~murraypm/38cad65.html
The page shows photos of a 1938 Cadillac sedan and the fourth picture down shows the grille and grille emblem. Except for the background being painted black, it looks a lot like the one that palbuick has.

Many Thanks guys for this information. As usual there is always someone who will come throught on this form. This is what makes it so Great.
The red seems to be original color.
I will be listing on e-Bay in the next couple weeks, as usual I try to put on this form first, giving members first choice.
Jim Schilf / palbuick@aol.com
