Guest ClintGiberson
Hi,My family owns an old ranch in Summit County, Colorado and we are in the process of cleaning it up somewhat. We have various old cars/trucks that were long ago retired to various "junk" areas on the ranch. I'm trying to figure out manufacturer, model and year on some of the more interesting ones. The first one I'm looking at I believe to be a Buick. Based on info from the Buick Heritage Alliance website concerning the location of the frame and serial numbers and the engine number, I'm convinced this one is 1923-1925. The serial number on the frame (stamped on a plate attached to the chassis in back of the left front wheel) is 916420. Any help anyone can provide would be much appreciated. I was hoping to find a "serial number decoder" of sorts online, but had no luck. ThanksClint

ROD W
ClintThat frame/chassis number fits into the 1923 range. 4 cylinder 826497 - 1060178 6 cylinder 879623 - 1064325 916420 looks like about the middle of the 1923 range but Dave Corbin will be able to tell you exactly A plaque on the fire wall will tell you the model eg 6cylinder tourer model 23-45Rod
