Guest 1969dan
Where can I get values on Samson Trucks? I have a co-worker who has a chance to buy one from his in-laws family for 50 cents on the dollar. I saw photos (nice), trying to help him get info. Old Cars and Parts value guide does not go back that far any longer, tried search @ Hemmings..no luck. Any help would be apprieciated.
Larry Schramm
I think the Sloan Museum in Flint, Mich has one in their collection. They might be of help.

Dave Mellor NJ
http://www.oldengine.org/members/sba...uction2002.htm1915 International Harvester Co. Flare Side Truck $14,000 in another post on this page Huptoy was seeking value for an International Truck. Larry Schramm referred him to an auction back in 2002. In that auction there was also a Samson truck. Check it out
Dave Mellor NJ
I tried copying the HTTP but it doesn't work. You need to go back to the International post. The auction description says Sampson but I think it is a Samsom. 1921 model, sold for 8500.
Dave Mellor NJ
While surfing through cable channels I came across "Machinery of the Past" on RFD TV. They had a 1920 Samson truck restored by Lorne Hart of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. Kind of primitive for 1920 it had the radiator projecting out just slightly from a flat front. Guest Graham Clayton
A little piece of trivia about Samson. Samson was owned by GM in the immediate post-WW1 period, and there was a plan by William Durant to increase Samson's visibility in the farm machinery sector by marketing a Samson touring car that could be easily converted into to a pick-up. The idea died before production began, and the lone "All-Family" tourer was sold to a family in Janesville, Wisconsin, where the Salmson factory was located. Samson commenced truck manufacture in 1919, and this continued with the company's tractor production until 1923, when the plant was converted into a Chevrolet assembly plant.
