Carbuff2
I have listed a pair of FOUR NOTE HORNS #897 AND #898 which would have been OE EQUIPMENT ON 1964 AND 1965 BUICK RIVIERA as well as other models. AS REQUESTED AND INSTRUCTED BY Buick Club Members, I tapped and moved the adjustment on the horns and they are both working. I originally had listed them as not able to test. key on this ebay link 1963 - 1965 Buick Riviera FOUR-NOTE HORNS hard to find: eBay Motors (item 230497373500 end time Jul-16-10 14:04:07 PDT) I read on another posting that only about 19% of the Rivieras had that option, so you can add them to yours and be part of a select group of Buicks. RivNut
Can you identify these horns more closely? There were differnt lengths with different notes for each year:1963 - 14", B-flat, #948; 24", C, #9491964 - 12", C, #898; 22", D, #8971965 - ??", B, #930; 22", D, #897.At some point in '65, the #930 horn was superceded by the '64's #898.Thanks,Ed
Carbuff2
Hi Ed, Thanks for the information however ... The number for the long is 897 and the short is 898which would make them for 1964 or 1965 as per your list .... Thanks Paul
