Guest Richard Moore
My shop manual is for 48/49.It says that the wiring is different for 48 and 49.Mine is a 47 with some parts from a 48 parts car I have.Is the wiring in my 47 Super the same as the 48.The turn signals and parking lites seem to be the biggest problem. Bill Stoneberg
Check your grounds real good, that always seem o be the issues with my 47.Wiring would be different for a 49, but I would think they are the same or similar for the 47 /48.
pirate
I am guessing to, that your problem is grounding. You can test it using a jumper wire with alligator clips on both ends.I gave my 47 Roadmasters front parking lights it's own ground wire. Drilled into the light housing and sheetmetal screwed in a wire and carried it over to the frame making sure the wire has a good clean connection. Yes, for the most part the 47 and 48 wiring diagrams are the same.
