Guest broker-bob Posted August 17, 2010 Share Posted August 17, 2010 I have both a 31 and 36 plymouth motor oil is a hot question some say use straight weight I have found that in summer when motor gets hot 10 w 30 hold presure better they did have have multi grade oils in 30s in gear box 90 weight which I get at auto store Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
34chuck Posted August 17, 2010 Share Posted August 17, 2010 Any modern good quality multigrade motor oil should work fine, but I would recommend the addition of a ZDDP additive as the modern oils no longer contain enough zinc to protect the cams and lifters. Just be aware that Wally World house brand oils are re-refined, not sure about accel, have heard of this oil recently.Iam sticking with Shell Rotella T 15W40, it still has some of the highest ZDDP content, and is a very good oil, I buy i in 5 gallon pails Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
