Guest eric50 Posted May 27, 2010 Share Posted May 27, 2010 Hello,sorry for my bad english but i am french.have a Buick 1953 and i want to change the rear wheel bearing.How can i do to remove the horse shoe?Here is a picture of m'y problem.Has somebody the procedure to do that,because i have not the shop manual.Thanh you in advance.Here a picture of the car. The Old Guy Posted May 27, 2010 Share Posted May 27, 2010 With the brake drum off, you should be able to push the axle in far enough to remove the horseshoe (C clip ) .The spacer you have already removed is what keeps the axle in place .You have a beautiful car Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Guest eric50 Posted May 27, 2010 Share Posted May 27, 2010 i don't really understant.I have to put the drum on the car to push on the axle?I try to push before,without the drum and i think its not enought.only a few millimeters.I will try again.Thank's for you answer.
