Greetings gents,

This is my first posting and I'd sure appreciate your help with some VIN Numbers on my current Buick project which I'll term as a late 20's speedster "replica".

It's an interesting car with a fabricated chain drive setup and a '26 grill.

The frame number is 1894125

The motor number is 43118787 straight eight

Ill be glad to post pics or send emails to those who have interest.

I think your frame is 1927 and the engine is a 1936 Series 40 - 233 cid 93hp.

Dear Mark:

1,894,125 is the frame number issued by Buick to a 1928 model 20. 4 tells us the engine is for a Special and the balance of the number 3.118.787 is for a 1936 model engine probably manufactured in October 1935.
