Guest century55 Posted May 15, 2010 Share Posted May 15, 2010 have a problem, i have a double fuel pump and i have a clicking sound coming from the pump works fine but i just don't like the sound. i never heard a pump do this before and don't if its suppose to sound this way. i took it off and could move the arm up and down vary easy with just one finger.am i ok with this pump or do i have to look for someone who can rebuild it. stealthbob Posted May 15, 2010 Share Posted May 15, 2010 Yea it should be hard to move the arm up....Fairly easy to rebuild yourself with a kit.Check out this write up I did, it includes the shop manual section on the pump.I did not mess with the arm though but it doesn't look that difficult. Dave@Moon Posted May 15, 2010 Share Posted May 15, 2010 Don't run the pump long like that. Without the spring to keep the arm in check it's probably beating the he!! out of the diaphragm.
