Guest
I have a 1955 Special that has come a long way from the condition it was in when I got it. I would like to install the original starter switch to replace the button I currently use. If anyone knows where I might find one I would appreciate it.
Email me at jocall@widomaker.com
Thanks
Fr. Buick
Your first trick will be to have the right carb, with the base that accepts the starter switch. Only Buick built them that way.
Then you go looking for the switch. It will be a bit different depending on the brand: Carter, Rochester, etc. Since the switch sticks out a bit from the carb, the plastic top readily gets busted off, so the are hard to find.
If you find a Carter, I might be able to help... Guest
Maybe this vacuum starter switch is more elaborate than I thought. I think I will stick with my start button for now.
Thanks anyway
