TomTIII
This is my only picture (please ignore kayak) of an old Indian engine I had when I was about 12 or 13. I ended up trading it for a cyclone model airplane engine. Anyone know the year and size?
CarlLaFong
Are you sure it's an Indian? Looks like a Powell to me.
TomTIII
Had Indian logo cast into the side of the engine. No question about te manufacturer. Just wanted to know what year it was from. It was "old" in the mid 1950's when I got it.tta
Guest Paterson Chris
The Indian "Prince" was a single cylinder model motorcycle made around 1926-28 that would have used this engine. Displacement was 30 cu in. (500cc). Was kind of a dud in the marketplace at the time as the earlier twin cylinder Scouts could be had for not much more. A complete and running example of this engine would bring you around $1500 -- give or take -- at one of the summer AMCA flea markets. If you know the engine # that would narrow it down too.Chris
