A 58 Roadmaster 75 2 door hardtop was recently sold at auction here in Sacramento. The owner was a 95 year old woman who is now in a retirement home. The car is strikingly original, and in very good shape. It even has the gold turn signal lenses intact.

The winner of the aution is not a car fanatic, he wants to flip it, and I can get in contact with him. I estimated that the car would sell for $15,000 but it went for $8,500. I would like to see the car in the hands of a Buick lover. It really should be with someone who appreciates it. I have pictures for anyone who wants them. Also, as an aside, the heirs to the estate had already called a tow company to come and take the car away, when the estate auctioneer suggested that they keep it and include it in the estate auction.

Mike,

I believe (know) that the 58's did not have the gold lenses. They were clear. I know this because my father had a 58 Roadmaster 75 coupe and I painted the insides of the lenses with the paint they were selling at the time. This could have been in 62 or 63.
