Swan carburator information needed for a 1926 Elcar 8-81

Hi:

I have a 1926 Elcar chassis on which I have been working. After trying to start the car for a couple of days, finally, the car started today and ran for about 10 minutes, sounding great.

My main concern is carburator now. It appears to have been repaired, but we just can't make the car work right, not even accelerate well, unless we push on the horizontal disc on the Swan carburator. Would anybody of you know if there is any technical info for that carburator?

The Swan system was promoted by Elcar as a novelty in which you could adjust the gas consumption from the dashboard... very odd carburator, which has a horizontal disc, similar to the Schebler carbs of the large cars of the late 20's.

Any information on them?

Thanks,

Victor
