Guest re-reatta
What is a good price to pay for a new rear window for a '90 coupe? My glass is good but the seal is beginning to look a little ratty.Kevin
D-a-n-i-e-l
New, not likely. I know the front is not available, and I bet the back is not either.
reattadudes
you might want to check with Pilkington Classics in Columbus, Ohio. they had eight rear windows in stock last year. you can reach them at (800) 848-1351.they also have new windshields in stock. they carry stock number DW1072, and as of last week, they had 192 new windshields available. they do runs of 400 windshields at a time, and will manufacture more when necessary.Mikebuickreattaparts.com

reattadudes
windshields are indeed availble brand-new from Pilkington.they are quite expensive ($2,000-$2,500, installed) but that is what insurance is for. be sure your comprehensive coverage includes glass.Mikebuickreattaparts.com
Guest alex_houston
I had a local glass install company remove a rear for me to fill in the hole where one of my cars was vandalized. They started to install new rubber from stock rolls until I stopped them. I did not want it installed, just laid in place to protect from wind blown water and debris as I will likely not restore this car. However, that taught me that repalcement from generics is possible. They were going to use two different styles and "weld" them together. So I suggest check with your local glass company to see what they can do.
