New walnut dash

I am looking for ideas and suggestion on the best finish for the new walnut dash board I will make for my 1925 roadster.

Dan, I do a lot of working with walnut but have yet to make something that would "handle the elements." Walnut will lighten (yellow) with age and rather quickly if exposed to sunlight. My recommendation would be to look for a two part epoxy varnish with UV resistance. Here is a website:

Someday, I'd like to incorporate some "real" wood in my buicks. For now, I'm laboring over a lot of structural wood replacement for my 36 that will never show when finished. Good Luck

Thanks for the great input.

I had been researching marine products and have found a lot of information, as usual way toooo much information is available on the net, and can see where UV and mositure protection will give the best results over time.

I do not have a Buick but I have found the Buick guys in this forum are a great general technical resource.

I am working at puting a 1925 Stutz Roadster back on the road.
