tbenvie
I have a 90 TC V6 that had a blown headgasket. When the shop took it apart they sent the heads out and they are cracked. there was no interest in buying the car whole, so I guess I'll have to fix it. I need a set of heads and need to know what to look for. Are these heads on other Chrysler products? What exactly should I be looking for? Thanks. Guest TC Toad
Tom, you should have no problem finding these heads. They were used on a lot of 3.0L mitsubishi made engines in the chrysler dodge and plymouth lines. Some did have valve guide problems so deal with a known good shop or parts house. If your shop is any good, they should have a good idea on where to get you good set rebuilt heads for your TC.
Guest TC Toad
Tom,While you have the engine apart, have them put a new timing belt, timing belt tensioner, and water pump in at the same time as the new head gaskets. May be a good time to have the radiator checked for plugging and proper flow. This will save you time and money down the road.
