AussieLeigh
Hi, does anyone have or know of anyone with a pre 1929 Chrysler converible coupe? I am restoring a "72" convertible coupe and would like to chat with someone about the rag top and other things. Any pre 1929 car will be ok.Leigh
hddennis
Leigh, are you sure your car is a convertible? With that door it has all the earmarks of a coupe. Convertible coupes or cabriolets have thin framed roll up side windows and if the door has any metal above the beltline it's just at the wind shield post. A closed coupe of this period would have a door just like yours and the rest would be made of wood with a few sheet metal plates covered in top material and on a rough car all would probably be missing by now. Do you have any type of folding top irons that a convertible would have to have?Howard Dennis
AussieLeigh
You're right about my car. It's a coupe body but I want to make it into a cabriolet. I am hoping to find someone with a Chrysler convertible coupe so I can get some info and photos to have reference points to work from.
