pistoncollector
I want to replace the carburetor on my Chalmers Detroit 30 Model K. Rather than just buying anything that fits I would like to know what you are using on your car and if you are satisfied with it. Please let me know. I value your input.Thanks.......Paul
caf
I am using a carter BB1D it fits right on and workd perfectly, Many early cars use this one and everyone seems to like them a lot. Hard to find a Chalmers without one. I have driven several with the original Mayer but don't care for it much, they work better in the display cabinet! pistoncollector
Thanks for the recommendation. My Chalmers presently has a Marvel Schelber TSXU on it and I am not satisfied. Some people are recommending a ZENITH 14999. Have you heard anything about this carb? Thanks again.......Paul
