Auburn Jack - Restoration Question

Recommended Posts

Howdy... I have a 1930's Auburn Jack and was wondering if I should remove the green paint and repaint the jack. Or should I just leave it as found ? The paint shows age, but does cover 80 percent of the jack, with the bottom having the paint worn away.

Thanks,

Ramblin Randy

Thank you Curti for the info on the color of your jack. This jack also was "apple green" when I got it. I'm told this jack is for a 34 Auburn and would like more info as to if I'm correct, and if it was used on other years. Thank you for any help or light you may shed on this endeavor.

Went ahead and painted the jack black, not sure why I did it... and sounds like I need to repaint it "apple green".

I don't have a Auburn, rather, am working on a identification guide for old jacks. In dusty barns all across the planet sit old jacks that need to find their way back to the correct vehicle...!
