Hello, I was wondering what a 63 Dodge 880 4dr was worth? Its in good restorable shape with a good body, just needs a little work to get it running, its been shedded for years. I dont know if its the 383 or 361, and how can you tell if its the 880 custom or just 880?

Thanks

According to the Old Cars Price Guide a 63 Dodge 880 4 door is worth $1488 in #5 condition (needs restoration, not running, but not a parts car). The same car running and driving but showing wear and needing work would be a #4 worth $2480.

Deduct 5% for 6 cyl models, but double the price if it is equipped with a Ramcharger 426.

The book does not distinguish between 880 and 880 Custom. The diff would be a little plusher trim, and there would be Custom emblems on it someplace probably on the front fenders or glove box door.

The 361 and 383 look alike, best thing is to get the engine number and look it up.

The difference between the 2 engines would be small, maybe 20 HP.

As to whether it is an 880 or Custom 880, check the vehicle number attached to the driver's door hinge pillar.

If the first 4 digits are 5033, it is an 880. Digits 5133 make it a Custom 880. If is a 4-door sedan wagon, it is an 880 while a 4-door hardtop wagon it a Custom 880.

The engine number is stamped on top of the block at the front. If the number starts with T36 means it is a 361 while T38 is for a 383 V8.
