Changing a wiring connector

I have to replace the connector behind the headlight switch. When I do this is it going to be just as good to use butt connectors when I splice all the wires instead of soldering?

I would solder it just takes time if you really want to do a quick solder pick up a cold heat soldering iron from radio shack or sears I believe. They have worked well for me when doing wiring. I have had many shorts and all of a sudden stop working with splicing things so I stick to soldering and shrink wrap but thats me hope my info helps.

All that does is to almost insure that you will have to do it again. Take a few minutes to do it the right way.....solder and shrink wrap 'em.

I second the solder/shrink tubing method. Butt connectors are a temp fix at best.
