Guest roadmaster56
I want to add dual carbs to a '50 buick 263. A friend of mine has a 41 - 320 with dual carbs. I know the intake manifold will not fit, but can I use the carbs, and split exhaust manifolds on the '50 - 263 without problems? Thanks.
The Old Guy
No ,but if you can find the 248 set up from 1941-42, it will bolt right up. The carbs would probably work, but you still need the manifolds.
Matt Harwood
Is your friend interested in selling his 320 dual carb setup? I'm looking for a new set of exhaust manifolds to replace my cracked ones. E-mail me if he's interested in selling. Thanks!PS: The dual carb exhaust manifolds will clear the side-mounted engine mount, but you'll need to get creative with the routing of the exhaust pipes to clear it. The typical dual carb "Y" pipe won't work. Hope this helps!
