jimtash
The antenna in my car won't operate so I took it out tonight and decided to test it. I hooked it up to a battery and grounded the case and it worked perfectly. Now what could be causing it to not operate when it's in the car? Bad ground as the car was recently undercoated or a bad switch? If it's a ground, I can at least run a wire to the housing and ground it that way but if it's the switch, how should I go about testing it? I also looked at the fuse panel but didn't see any of them labeled for the antenna although there is one for the radio. Could something be wrong there? jimtash
63. I want to test the switch itself but how and where? I have no clue how to get to it from the inside or how to take it out of its slot. Do I have to remove all the ventilation controls from the dash?
