Guest 24db pickup
I am a complete newbie to this. Thought I would give the old car thing a try since I like seeing them so much. I got this 1924 DB ¾ ton pickup. I am game for anything once. I like trying things myself, but don’t want to screw them up too bad…Question: The water pump has 2 places for grease with screw off caps. How is the application of grease to these done? Rusty_OToole
To grease the pump, give the cap a twist to tighten it up. Do this every once in a while. When the cap is all the way down it is time to refill it. In other words, when it bottoms out.To refill the cap, take it off and fill it with grease and put it back on.Use water pump grease. Or marine grease. Guest 24db pickup
Thanks. I have read a lot about half twist or something similar for the grease cups at certain operational intervals, but didn't see anything about filling them.
