psness
Does anyone know the original color of the 200 ci engine air cleaner and valve cover for a 1965 Mustang? I have been told blue and also orange. Perhaps it varies by year??
FomocoService
Ford Blue is the correct color for Mustangs, Falcons, etc..I'd pick up a Mustang resto guide, it'll have all the colors and fastener finishes in it. I don't recall the title of the book I have, but will look when I get to the shop tomorrow.
Rick Hoover
With all due respect, the '65 200 6 cylinder valve cover and air cleaner was painted bright red, as was the 170 cu. in. used before it. Cylinder block, head and oil pan was painted black. Blue valve cover and air cleaner was on the 1966. Most all reproduction Mustang part vendors will list and sell the correct engine colors.
