'39 Buick radio

I just recently acquired a Sonomatic Radio for a '39 Buick. The radio works but the knobs are missing and the push buttons are in bad shape. Is there anyone that makes or has reproduction parts?

Skip Boyer of Hanover, PA. reproduces these items and has been a BCA member since he was a little kid working with his dad, a great BCA'er now sadly gone. Knows his stuff and absolutely a straight-up kind of guy.

Hello 39 fans,

Do you know if there is more than one radio for the 39s?? The 90 Limited I'm looking at is missing the radio, owner took it out and gave to Gregg Fields to get restored, then Mr. Fields passed away and the radio was never returned. I saw one on e-Bay, it's a Sonomatic and came out of a Special. Suppose it will fit the Limited? I'm hoping there was only one radio in 1939 that fit all models, but I know better than to assume that!

Hi

According to the installation manual for the '39 Sonomatic radio, it will fit all series. The '39 radio is a one-of and is the only one that will fit a '39 properly which is why they are hard to find and so expensive when you do.
