There'd be a printed monthly newsletter circulated to a small membership of people that somehow heard of some national car clubs back east and joined.Old style parts finding would be in effect- a want ad in some obscure, esoteric auto newsletter or publication in one miniscule geographic area.Without the internet it would be a far less easy proposition to find parts or accessories for any "old car."
