conversion of artillery wheels (bad wood)

I have a rough and incomplete '25 Model 70 Chrysler that I am building as a period correct speedster. I want to change the wood artillery wheels to either disk or wire. Any ideas on the easiest way to do this? I'd like to continue to use the 20 inch tires.

Chrysler 80 used as an option the same size of centrelock Buffalo wire wheels as Stutz and LaSalle. They were also used sometimes on other cars seen less frequently. I have often seen such Stutz and LaSalle wheels advertised for sale over the years, and most if not all should be 20".

Buffalo wheels will come at a premium price. When I bought my 1912 Buick parts car, my partner in the deal paid $1000 just for the Buffalo wheels & hubs. They were burned and needed complete restoration.

I have a set of 18" artillery wheels from my 31 Buick parts car it you're interested. My 15 Buick speedster also has smaller wheels than original & it makes the car look better. The down side is that they will slightly reduce top end speed,.....but I'm not in this for speed anyway.
