To be on the safe side I would like to know at which speeds shifting gears is recommended and the importance of double clutching up and down. nearchoclatetown Posted July 19, 2007 Share Posted July 19, 2007 I rarely use first gear, so that cuts down on 1/2 the problem. I short shift to third as soon as I can, slowly not double.
