paul1
Hello,My name is Paul and I am in the same situation as you. I have and opportunity to buy a 1924 chrysler and I have the same concerns. Have you had any luck on your request yet? This car is located near Portland, Maine. The price is right, but I am leary on purchasing a car that I cannot get parts. Please let me know if you have had any luck. thanks Paul
jacksprat
I have a 28 Model 62 6 cylinder and parts are rare. My brake cylinders were rebuildable and I bought kits locally. Also found a local source to make brake hose. My linings were good. Found engine gaskets at Olson's Gaskets. i am told Egge machine is a source for engine parts. Towser
I have a specific need and being on the other side of the Atlantic, I rarely see parts at autojumbles. I need the light switch at the bottom of the steering column of a 1929/30 Canadian built Chrysler 70. I know that the switch was used for several years by Chrysler. Can anyone help with either a switch or information on a possible source?Towser
1929Chrysler
Towser,The light switch you are referring to at the end of the steering wheel is called a clum switch and if any one would have it it would be Jay Astheimer. They are EXTREMELY rare and not cheap so good luck!!Jay is the best source of parts for pre-1930 Chrysler and a great guy to deal with. His e-mail is astheim@ptd.netDan1929 Chryslermodel
