  1. Difficult, but not impossible. Depends on the projected use, a drag Reatta wouldn't be any more difficult rhan any other car. The Probe in the article was built for an NHRA Super Stock class, very specific rules. If you want a street car, that would be a different story. I think the biggest probelm would be getting all of the electronics working again. Bet you sent some shudders around this blog!
  2. 153k miles. Work done in past 3 months: cradle mount bushings and hardware, rebuilt rack, outer tie rod ends, front struts, strut mounts, lower ball joints, brakes all around, brake lines and hoses, right front hub assembly, muffler, 4 new tires this week, new thermostat and housing, and new A/C condenser and recharge. Condition is consistent with an 18 year old Buick with age. Drivers seat has a rip in side bolster. Some surface rust. Light damage to right fender and door, price includes 2 good front fenders with inners, rubber duckie, and 2 nice complete doors. The door and all its parts work fine, pushed in about 3/4" at the front edge is all, and the fender is cracked. Tape stuck in radio, paint rough. Headights, windows, power locks, cruise, A/C all work. Glass all good. It is running sweet, been driving it to work 65 miles a day. Kevin (989) 82three 3299 Car is in SE Michigan. $2900 OBO
  3. Just checked, no CA1, only c code is C68. The asc logo is made right in the glass. It must have been sent out by the dealer for an aftermarket sunroof. Thanks for the replies, Kevin
  4. I recently bought my second 91, this one has a sunroof that is tinted glass. I see all the rest have body color sunroofs. I have the original window sticker, it has a big rubber stam p from ASC and the date. The headliner and switch look the same. It doesn't open, and I haven't gottne around to having it worked on yet. Anyone seen this before? Thanks, Kevin
  5. It was lucky for me, I had it inspected on a hoist as I was purchasing it, and the washers and bolt heads were very rusty, 2 of the washers were almost gone. The rubbber parts at those 2 locations were obviously shot, the mech knew of the problems and pointed them out.
  6. I just had mine installed, what a mess. 4 of the bolts had lost at least half of their diameter to corrosion. Three broke off, had to cut the mounts apart off the tub to get the captive nuts out, cut off the nuts, weld real nuts to the square plates, put them back and mig weld the mounts. The mech told me he had repaired two cars, one Riv and one Olds, that the cradles had come off while driving. The Riv was so bad it pulled the steering column apart!
  7. Just found this ad, don't know the guy: http://flint.craigslist.org/pts/686792568.html
  8. I can and do stay home from a lot of things, the cost of fule has already changed my lifestyle somewhat, HOWEVER, there will only one nationals coinciding with the 100th anniversary of GM. Luckily, I only live 40 miles away now. I missed the 100th of Buick and I regret it. Hopefully, my Reatta will be back on the road and I can drive it there. My brother (1966 Skylark and 1966 Gran Sport) and brother-in-law (1965 225 vert) will be there. The vert may be in the big parade, haven't heard back yet.

Thanks Barney, I hadn't been aware about the Reatta Div at the Wingate. I didn't want anyone to get victimized.
  10. I just ordered and received them from GMparts direct. Current list: $31.15, got them for 17 bucks apiece.

Anyone who hasn't been to Flint in a while, or ever: it is not safe to stay at a hotel in FLint, or on Pierson Rd. The ones at Hill rd. or Gateway Centre are OK, or Davison, Lapeer, or Birch Run/Frankenmuth. The cultural center during the day will be fine, but there is a reason there is no host hotel. Just a heads up.
  12. Sorry about that, it is in SE Michigan, Vassar to be exact.
