  1. I was afraid of that being the answer...
  2. Hi, I have this photo identified as a 1981 or 1982 Ford LTD. In looking at photos on the internet the LTD's of that time period all seem to have quad head lights. Is this some "special" model or are the year(s) I've been given incorrect? Also, is there any way to tell if this is a 1981 or an "82? Thanks, Steve
  3. Hi, I've been trying to figure this one out and I'm pretty sure this is a 1985 or 1986 Chevrolet Caprice (Classic?). Can someone narrow this down for me? Is it a Classic? Looking forward to a reply or three. Thanks, Steve
  4. Hi, A more modern auto this time. The Chief of Division 1 in New York was assigned this beautiful red Plymouth Gran Fury. It looks late 1980's to me but I'm hoping that there is some detail that will allow the year to be pinned down. Looking forward to a reply. Steve
  5. Hi, I'm back already with a far more practical (translation = less expensive) looking car for the Asst. Fire Chief in Dallas. Please let me know the make, model and year if possible. Thank you. Steve Photo source: https://texashistory.unt.edu/ark:/67531/metapth803862/m1/1/?q=dallas fire chief
  6. Hello All, I wonder based on a previous photo I posted here if this is another Packard. My limited knowledge of autos has me thinking that it could be a LaSalle, but I'll leave it up to brighter minds than mine. Hoping for the usual: make, model and year. Thanks, Steve Source for the photo: https://texashistory.unt.edu/ark:/67531/metapth803862/m1/1/?q=dallas fire chief
  7. Hi There, I'm breaking the rule for one vehicle per subject as both of these old timers are in the same photo. Newport had a 1928 or so Model "A" Ford. Could this be that car? The truck certainly has a Model "T" look to me. Anxious to hear what others have to say. Hoping for the year, make and models for these beauties. Take care, Steve
  8. Hi, Great looking car. I identified this as a Plymouth but it could just as easily be a Dodge. Please let me know the make, model and year. Take care, Steve
  9. Howdy, This one isn't quite as obvious with the rear view. Still, I'm hoping to learn the year and model of this gem. Take care, Steve
  10. Hi, Another Chief's car for the group to look over. As always I would like to know the year and model. Thank you. Cheers, Steve
  11. Nope. Just trying to identify the year so that I can file this picture into my collection of 60,000+ photos of fire department vehicles.
  12. Hey There! Schaumburg (IL) operated this Chevy Corsica. I sure would like to know the model. As always, my thanks to all who read and post comments. Take care, Steve
  13. Howdy folks. Another mystery (to me) as to what year this beauty is. It served Hoffman Estates (IL) a long time ago. Take care, Steve
  14. Hi, The title of this topic says it all. Is this a 1987 or 1988 Diplomat? Please let me know. Thanks. Steve
  15. Hi, There is a question as to whether this was a 1976 or 1977 model year. It would be appreciated if I could receive an answer here. Thank you. Steve
  16. Hi, Hopefully everyone has too much leftover turkey and got the day off from work! This photo shows the Chief of the Baltimore Fire Department around 1915 or so. The radiator on the car is the same general shape as that on a White truck of this era so I wonder if this is a White automobile? Anyway, I'm hoping to learn the year, make and model of this classic machine. Thanks for your help. Steve
  17. Hi, This photo shows what I believe is a 1947/1948 Dodge for the Hamilton, Ohio Fire Dept. Can anyone narrow down which year it is and I would also like to know what model this car is. As always I appreciate everyone's input. Steve
  18. Hi, I would like to know the year of this Plymouth Fury. The Houston Fire Dept. purchased several of these beauties. Have a Happy 4th! Steve
  19. Most likely this is a 1926 Ahrens-Fox that was in service at Vincennes, Indiana.
  20. Hi, Only need one item of information on this one. Can anyone provide me with the model year of this Ford Torino station wagon? Take care, Steve
  21. Hi, Here we have a nice looking (okay, a different paint color would be an improvement) Pontiac station wagon. I'm asking for my "standard" information. Need the year and model on this beast. Take care, Steve
  22. Hello Again, This beauty is the kind of car I would like to find in my garage! Always a fan of those drum style headlights. This is another car from Long Beach that I have zero information on. Would like the make, model and year please. Take care, Steve
  23. Hi, Attached is a photo of a ?? Looks like mid-1920's vintage to me. Those are the strangest headlights ever made. As always I would like to to know the make, model and year. Take care, Steve
  24. Hi, I'm hoping that someone can narrow down the year on this Chevrolet. All of the deliveries in the 48/53 time period look the same to me. Does anyone see any detail that might give me a better idea of the year of manufacture on this beauty that was with the Bath, Ohio Fire Department? Thanks. Take care, Steve
  25. Never mind! Just looking through my topics and I had posted this photo and already received an ID. Had the picture in the wrong place here in Kentucky...
