I need help/advice removing this old part. Two hoses coming in...evap and cond. Cond is towards the front of the car and it came off easily. The Evap line is not cooperating. Is it reverse thread or is it just stuck?
Thanks.

There is what I believe to be a 1970 Riv sitting in a yard with rims that look ok. Most everything is gone. Will those rims fit a 1965 Riv? (the car looks identical to the car on the inside front cover of the July/August RIV Review.
Thanks,

Also, the headlight arms that attach to the motor. Are they in good shape?

Dan, how is the interior wood trim? I might be interested in that

Thanks all... I took it to a family friend who has been repairing clocks of all types for several years....he emailed me today that he had lubed & cleaned the contacts and it has been running well for several hours...I have 12+ volts out to the connections so when I get it back into the car, it should work.
Thanks again!

My clock is still inconsistent. It is out of the car and wired directly to a battery and sometimes it runs for 30 minutes and sometimes for 3 minutes.... I think the points might be too worn down... is there a place that has these points? Instrument Services does not repair the points.

Thanks guys. I guess I'd like to try to keep it as original as possible, but some things are best updated.
Thanks again!

Thank you! I appreciate your help

Thanks Ed. When testing on a bench direct to a battery, there are 2 posts on the back. Are they both positive? If so, do I ground it to the body surrounding the clock?
Thanks!

Okay, I'm looking for something more complex..... how do you grip it....it seems to be in there pretty good

How did you get the clock out? Do you need to take out the entire dash or can it be removed from the front?
Thanks!

I spoke to Clarks this past week. I have a tear in the original seat (1965 RIV) and am thinking of replacing. I had some questions (I have not ordered yet - but soon will) they got one of their stitchers on the phone for me - I was impressed.
I have a question for the ROA - what is a reasonable price to pay to have a trim shop install two front bucket covers from Clarks?
Thanks!

I went with the Coker 215 tires. You're right, they look really good. My car is white so it's a good fit.
Thanks again..

I currently have old nylon ply tires - at least 25 years old and are in need of replacement - what is a good radial tire replacement?
Thanks,
Bob

1) Fuel gage - I had the gas tank re-sealed in June and the fuel gage worked for about one month, now it does not. All other instruments work fine, so I am guessing it's at the tank. It could be the ground wire has come off, but if not, are there any documents from the past which detail how to fix this from the tank and adjust so when empty, it reflects empty - when full/full etc?
2) Where is a reputable source for a new/rebuilt starter? I'm in Canada (about 60 miles east of Detroit) so shipping costs will likely be high. Any suggestions are welcome.
Thanks all!

Thanks Keith, I am going to try those suggestions today if I get some time.

Thanks Tom, I did some of that, but likely didn't consider the ground on the PS motor and some other ideas you mention. I will try all of those. It is the original starter and solenoid, so if they need replacing, well, it's understandable.
Thanks again,
Bob
