Cars inc. has them also... it helps if you have the exact size & shape for them. I got some for my 65 this summer from Cars Inc.
Good luck!

He did mine a few years ago they work well!

I may have solved this... looks like page 159 item #8583 is the right clip for the 65 Riv.

I saw some threads from 2008. I need to source these clips. The new catalog from Restoration specialties shows item #8184 on page 159. Are these the correct clips for the rear window molding and if yes how many do I need? If not can someone please provide some guidance as to where I can source them.
Thanks!!

Has anyone used the retracting seat belts normally found in the front seats and used them in the rear in the 65 Riv? If so, how did you do this?
If not I may have a pair of retractable belts for sale - blue.
And does anyone have the buckle pieces with the Buick Logo (blue belt is preferred)
Thanks,

I found a switch and an accessory name plate.. in a box of parts that I have...middle position off - push on - pull on... will this work properly with the 2 speed blower if I can source a resistor? (also - I think I have sourced a resistor)
Thanks,

The ROA is by far one of the best investments I have made. The advice I get whenever I solicit it from the members is always very helpful. My 1965 Riviera sat for 14 years so it needed allot of little tweaks. And since it was my first time through everything, I really appreciate all the support and advice I received and hope some day to have the time to attend the annual meeting and some other events and meet with some of the fine people who have helped me. (And I hope to be driving there in the RIV - even @ $4.00+/gallon!)

I would like to know this also. I had a car stolen last week. Has anyone used those GPS tracking devices? Are they any good?
Thanks!

Is the resister absolutely necessary. Could a fuse in the line do a similar job? This blower looks brand new!
Thanks everyone!
PS - The Riv is in getting a fresh coat of paint and the bumpers re-chromed....the guy said it is one of the most solid old cars he's ever seen. i cannot wait to get it back... 60 degrees and sunny today here.. unusual for Canada in March!

Was this an option in 1965? I came across one and it looks NOS. If anyone has one installed, where was the switch located?
Thanks!

I have a center console for a 65. It is missing a few pieces - I can send a few pictures.

So it begs the question... I need new springs on my 65... it's in the shop getting new paint, (first since 65) where is a good source for 'factory like' springs with the correct height? And probably should do shocks as well.
Thanks.

Welcome!
Mine sat for several years as well. The overheat issue might be the sensor. Mine was corroded from sitting for so long... Its an easy fix which resolves that overheating issue. To be sure I had it laser tested for the temperature at various locations and it always read the temperature was within operating limits. So I knew the water pump/cooling system was working properly. Good luck! The blue has always been a favourite colour of mine.

Is there a place where I can get a GM parts list with part descriptions? I found a source with only part numbers and I do not know what they are. If I had a part list I could associate the item description to the number.
Thanks...

Forgot to include the link....

Are any club members driving in the Dream Cruise this Saturday in Detroit. It is a free event. I am curious to meet other Riviera owners in the area.

I am just reading this thread now.... here is an interesting article.

Had it rebuilt by Paul (ROA member) and it's working great!
Thanks again!

I just replaced driver's seat (foam seat & back and cover) for my 65 standard interior from Clark's... perfect all around...looks great and matches well with the original blue...
-
Just noticed your post... I bought one from Larry at Rancho Riviera last fall and it works like new. He also knows enough about Rivieras to send you the correct unit..... if you provide him with accurate information....

Thanks for the heads up on this...

Oh..... he said his name is Dan Jackson....

Thanks Gents... this explains why the lights come on when I touch the hole in the door jam... thankfully, I am not paying by the hour to fix this minor issue... I have three wires.. purple, white and black (I think ) .Are the switches from Clark's Corvair the same as these old switches?
Thanks again!

It's a beauty... I noticed the front vent cowls are painted red.... mine were painted (white) and I had them baking soda blasted this spring to show the chrome.... which is correct?
Thanks!
PS - I have 66,000 original miles on mine! original, interior, including carpet, trunk paint and sticker also...My engine needs to be detailed but otherwise everything works and I enjoy it...solid as can be!
