1. Richard, Did you disconnect the existing tweeter in the door after you installed the new door speakers?
2. I have researched prior posts on this forum (back two years)concerning speaker replacements and would just like to have a confirmation that what I believe is the right speakers for my 1990 Reatta coupe is correct before I order new speakers. For the rear a pair of 6" x 9" 2 way units. In each door one 5.25" 2 way and a 3.0" tweeter. The door speakers that I am considering at are 1.69" deep. I will be still using the stock radio and the speakers will be a mid-priced units (Boss?). Any advise will be appreciated. Thanks!
3. Meet Jim Finn last year at the MIS track event. After our lunch he checked over my car and made some recommendations. I order parts from him and they all came well packaged and as described. All went well. Thanks Jim!
4. Has anyone had any experience with or knowledge of American Collectors Insurance , Inc.? Picked up an advertisement for them at a car show and called for a quote. The price was reasonable but would like some input from the Forum group. Thanks, Nick
5. We had a great time last Saturday at MIS and the winery lunch. Also, it was nice to meet other Reatta owners. Thanks again, April and Ron, for all your time and effort to make it such an enjoyable trip. Nick and Bonnie
6. Thanks Benr98 for your post which made me re-read the Buick manual today and saw that I was wrong concerning the procedure for bleeding the calipers. Nick
7. I was wondering, if anyone has bled the rear brake calipers on a 1990 Reatta without using a pressure bleeder? I know the front calipers can be manually bled and that the Buick manual recommends a pressure bleeder for the rear calipers. But, is it possible that the rears can be bleed manually? As always - Thanks Nick
8. My guess is your better half likes music more than you! That’s my problem all the time while driving with the other half! Good Luck!
9. Has anyone used the Wagner ThermoQuiet brake pads? My long time auto parts supplier is recommended them for my Reatta since ceramics pads are not available. In fact, he said that repair shops and customers are reporting that they are superior to the ceramic pads that they have used before. Any comments? Here is a link to a Wagner info site: http://www.brakestop.net/wagner_thermo_quite_pads.htm Thanks in advance....
10. I sent a e-mail today to April expressing our desire to attend! Nick
11. We are still planing on going! I will e-mail you soon. I have guys at work who are NASCAR fans and are VERY upset that they do not have the opportunity to drive around this track with their cars. HA!
12. Churchman, The good news - your problem is fixed. The bad news - you are selling your Reatta. Why are you selling? Nick
13. Bummer Jim! I have sent you a PM with a list of parts that I am looking for. Thanks, Nick
14. Bummer Jim! I have sent you a PM with a list of parts that I am looking for. Thanks, Nick
15. I replaced my "dog bone" mount this week. It cost me 17.99 at my local parts shop. List was 31.50! Nick
