I have the same leather set, same price as Jeffn, so if more than one is interested, let me know.

I was thinking the same thing. Did an autotrader search on TC's and the average price was $8000 for a 500 mi radius around me.
West coast looks a lot cheaper right now....

Here's a 16v with 24k in Atlanta, GA

Tight tops are nice, but topless is better.....

Hey Lou, you won't believe this, but on both of the TC's I've parted... no plastic liner.
Sue, it could also be the door glass not sealing tightly at the top and water seeping in. Have someone sit in the car while you spray the windows and door edges to see where the water is coming from.

I have a really nice original steering wheel out of an '89 TC. It's ginger leather. No tears or wear throughs and stitching looks great. Some minor scratching in the leather surface around the rim, and one "spoke" has an area where they dye has worn off from use. But, IMO, this is a really nice 19 year old original MOMO wheel.
Asking $95 + shipping.

Roger, I think mtworkshop got Cliff's car. It's just an amazing coincidence that there were two cars in the Pitt area for sale at the same time!

Do you have someone who can help you bleed the brakes? You open one bleeder valve at a time, and pump the brake pedal until there is no more air. If you system went dry, it can take a lot of pumping.

The only thing I can imagine is the top was not secured well. Perhaps the windows were opened a bit allowing for "lift"? If the pull down mechanism failed, and the previous owner was unaware of the manual method to lock the back down, I can see how the back would have just been set in the holes. The front locks can also be tricky at times (read: stubborn) especially if the top wasn't seated properly to begin with. And yes, while that top is a heavy sucker, you get going at 65 mph with the turbulence on the back of a flatbed and you can definitely displace something that is parachute shaped.
I feel your pain...

I have one. Have sent you an email. Price is negotiable.

It is the only piece in common with the Chrysler LeBaron Convertible.

Resistance is Futile....

Too bad these roofs aren't lighter - they are a major pain to remove without a hoist.

The hood insulation is to protect the paint. Firewall and foot well insulation will help with sound proofing.
But, yes, those are typical noises.

I used to have 3 Imperials - 2 white 65's with 413's and a tan '66 wwith a 440.
The original one was bought for $500 had the blue metallic leather interior but unfortunately it was far from mint. Acquired a second 65 with a near mint black interior for $400. Acquired the 3rd, the tan 66 for $200 with a perfect black interior. It had a seized 440 motor (teenage guy kept driving it when it overheated). Took the 66 interior and swapped it into the 65 with the bad interior and parted that car out.
Wound up selling the two 65's to collectors when I realised I didn't have the time to keep a total of 5 older cars going. I would love to see pics of your LeBaron.

Wow 2 burgundy cars in the same area at about the same time...what are the odds?

How soon do you need it? I have an 89 parts car and our 89 daily driver but it's down to 3 cyl. It still drives enough to move it around as needed. For now I still need both covers to move the cars, but once the transplant has taken place, I can sell the valve cover.

What was wrong with the MD car? Just curious...

The basic mechanicals are OEM Chrysler, except for the 16v engine with 5 speed.
Things to look for:
-ABS system light
-Odometer working; the speedo works but the gears for the odo break so make sure it turns when you drive one.
-Make sure if an aftermarket radio was installed that the wood grain trim surrounding it hasn't been cut/molested.
-Make sure the pull-down motor for the hard and soft tops work

Check your PMs

Probably $6-700 depending upon if the hauling company had a full truck or not.
