I took One Bid out for the Spring Dust Off.

Well, if you take away the the 9am snack, the extended lunch hour, the long nap, the afternoon snack and extended supper hour. It was more like six hours........
-
If anybody needs to do this job, I recomend watching this video. He does a nice job and even tells you what size the bolts are.

Back together again. I will let it sit overnight to let the oil pan sealer cure before I fill with coolant. (I think I heard Project 66R laughing at me when it heard a few cuss words)

I hope you all are having fun today. (I am not) Buick Saturday turned into fix the daily driver. Timing cover gasket.........
-
OK, enough fooling around. I actually got something done yesterday!
-
I worked on the dash all morning. After lunch I decided to take a nap....... What a Dream!!!!!
-
No, we loved that car. It served us well.
-
It would be much worse. I think they flattened it with a loader and I understand other scrap metal was added to the hole.

My nephew just purchased this new Bobcat Excavator. I told him digging up the old Buick would be good practice for him....... He just laughed at me......

Friday and Saturday it was 80* I pulled One Bid out of the back garage and put it in the front garage. I was hoping to go for a ride today. Not!
-
Sue helped me slide the dash into the car this afternoon. I least I now have more floor space in the garage. Now the fun begins!

It appears from my first photo that I removed that wind lace first. I took a look at One Bid and I have no access to the dash bolts without damaging the wind lace by prying it out of the way.
-
Here is the photo of removal. Is this the wind lace you are referring to? My steering box is in but not bolted tight. I can remove some of the bolts and tilt it down.
-
I guess I'm not ready yet......
-
I was planning on puting the dash in first. Is that a bad idea?
-
I am very close to installing the dash. I have most of the wiring connected. I have the oil psi tube through the firewall. All the cables are connected to the heat and vent levers. Any advice on installing the dash? The stand I have will keep it at the correct level until I get to the point of bolting it up.
-
It looks like Fusick has them also. Including the correct glove box lock.

Going back in the attic........

Thanks, but let me look around and see if I can find it.

I better look a little harder for mine!

Fuel and vac lines. In this photo there is a small alluminum band holding the lines together. Is this factory? One Bid does not have this.
