  1. I used Phantom Auto Works in Salem OH and they did an absolutely outstanding job !!!!!
  2. This is one extremely rare part to find. Bidding should be interesting. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1957-Packard-Station-Wagon-Emblem-Studebaker_W0QQitemZ270293422740QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item270293422740&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245&_trkparms=72%3A727%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318
  3. Being that these parts are tough to find, I thought that I would post this ad that was in our local Studebaker newsletter. The info is very fresh. The ad is posted in our recent October/November 2008 newsletter. For Sale: Rare 1932/33 Rockne front fenders with spare wheel wells. 1932/33 Rockne hood. Contact David Pelnar at 920-609-5948 or djpelnar@yahoo.com Who knows, maybe he has other parts too. Best of luck in your restoration.
  4. This looks to be the auction of all auctions !!!!!! I will need to win the lottery before I go to this one. http://www.midwestauctions.com/maring/maring_september_27.htm
  5. Is anyone able to post pics of the cars that were attending this show? Please.........
  6. Were there any 57 or 58 Packard cars or parts at this meet? if so, are there any pics of the cars? Would greatly appreciate seeing these cars. Thank you
  7. No surpise to me. I will attempt to say this as nice as possible, but if you want to know the truth....... I went to South Bend last year and found some pretty good deals on Packard parts. I will say though I was not received to well because I didn't have a "true" Packard. I had full intentions in giving the Packard Club one more try, but then I found out that there was a Studebaker meet in Minneapolis the same weekend. For as well as I was received from the Studebaker group in South Bend and for as friendly as they were, I opted to drive a few extra hours and am going to Minnesota. Amazing that a 40 year old who loves Packards and Packardbakers can be treated so well by one group and snubbed by another in the same place, at the same time. If you want to draw interest in your marque, one might try being more receptive and welcoming.
  8. Out of all of the 58 Packards that I own, this is the only model that I do not have. I hope to one day. It seems the longer I wait the more expensive they get. I will continue to keep my eyes out for a deal.
  9. You should take a look at their website and forum. www.packardhawk.com I am sure they have a registry going.
  10. I would give Christof Kheim a call. He has a ton of the older Studebaker stuff. If he does not have it, I am sure that he could send you in the right direction of someone who might have the part. This is his site. Take care http://stores.ebay.com/Rocky-Mountain-Studebaker
  11. I use Schenker Logistics. Be sure not to use an open top container. Make every attempt on valuable cars to go lower deck and make sure you block the wheels once the car is in the container.
  12. Very interesting how the side windows overlap. I have never seen anything like it. This is a feat of engineering.
  13. I went to a Studebaker International meet in Omaha two years ago and had the opportunity to talk to the engineer who worked under Raymond Lowey in creating the 53 Lowey Coupe. After Studebaker he joined up with GM and work on Buicks. Adventually he created the Olds Tornodo. He had a ton of stories and one was on the talent coming out of McPherson. He stated that with each of the individual's work that he had seen it was at least three steps ahead of everyone else. He rated the school as top notch. Best of luck.
  14. Looks like a very interesting collection up for auction.....including an original Hudson motor still in the crate. Take care http://hinsonauction.com/auction_04_26_08.html
