  1. Tammy has probably already left for her vacation. At the chance she didn't I live in Bloomington, Illinois just west of Gibson City. She will be going through Bloomington on her way. If anybody has a cell number for her send it to me so I can call her. Maybe drive over there. PV
  2. I took a picture of the ingintion coil module and attached plug wires of my 90 vert. I hope it helps. PV
  3. I ran accross a Last Chance Garage article, see link below, about How to Clean and Poilsh Anodized Aluminum. Do you think the bumpers need to be de-anodized before polishing? http://www.secondchancegarage.com/public/665.cfm
  4. Has anybody used a product called Flitz Metal polish. I am also interested in polishing the bumpers on my Reatta. The website says it can be used on anodized aluminum. I don't want to rush into this and ruin my bumpers. Here is the website address for Flitz. http://www.flitz-polish.com Any other suggestion would be appreciated.
  5. Does anybody have an opinion on the best brand of components to use for this repair? Auto Zone has ACDelco, GP Sorensen, and Borg Warner ignition modules at various prices. They have ACDelco, Accel, Borg Warner & Niehoff ingnition coil packs. Also, I have never done this type of repair. Can they just be replaced without any special equipment or diagnostics? Outside of the information and warnings in section C-3 of the shop manual does anybody have anything further to offer.
  6. The coil ignition (CCCI) module on my 1990 is oozing a gray/light green substance. It appears to coming out at the gasket line line new the forward end of the module or one of the plug wire poles. Can I just tighten the bolts holding the two parts together and see if it stops?
  7. Nice but I already have a vintage St. Louis Cardinals jacket the looks very much like the Reatta jacket. Go Cardinals.
  8. The G6 coupe might be fine. I would be a little concerned with the long term prospects for keeping the roof retraction systen going on the G6 conv. The hinges and retraction mecchanism look to be a little light weight to me, compared to some of the other hard top retracts.
  9. Yesterday my 19 year old son and I attended the first day of the 2007 Chicago Show. We spent about six hours looking at just about every car there. I must have sat in a dozen two seat convertibles and came to the conclusion my 90 Reatta is more compfortable and easier to get in and out of then just about anything currently available. Sure I liked many of the new models and I am sure most of them would outperform the Reatta but technologically they aren't that much better. Made me feel good about what I have instead of yearning for something new.
  10. I looked at the car being auctioned online. It is a white convertible. It says it is a 1990 but is has different wheels on it than my 1990 red convertible. Did they have different wheels on the 1990s or do they have the wrong year on the Barrett-Jackson website?
  11. Tammy, in July I bought a red/tan 90 convertible with 27,000 miles. It also has all the options such the 16 way seat and CD. It is what I would consider near perfect condition. I paid $16,000 for it out of the local newspapaer from a private owner. After a lot of study I came to the conclusion that it is worth whatever you want/can to pay for it. Some would say I overpaid for it but I love the car and love driving it. I decided I was worth the indulgence and my wife supported me. I was looking at other two seaters/small conv. such as Corvettes, BMWs, the new Pontiac/Saturns, Mitsubishi's. The uniqiueness of the Reatta and the story behind it really interesed me and is a conversation piece at a number of car cruises I have attended.
  12. The driver side window on my 90 convertibles jumped out of its track. It took me couple hours to take the door panel off and put it back on track. Wasn?t a big deal but I wouldn?t want to have to do it again. Anybody know why it may have jumped out of the track to begin with? I?ve only had the car about 30 days. Anybody know if this is a common problem?

    New owner

I am also a new Reatta owner. I just bought a red 90 convertible two weeks ago. I apologize for jumping in this discussion but I have a sluggish passenger window. I am also interested in knowing what benefits there are to joining AACA.
