  1. Yes Sir, that is correct. 1913 through 1917 were transaxle cars. Mine has been repaired in the past and figured it would be a good idea to have a spare.

  7. I could use some good brake drums for my '36 4A. 35-6 Dictator drums will do. How about a straight left side front fender? Don't have an extra heater but may have a radio. Thanks, Jay
  8. I think we have a missunderstanding. The type of axle in this 1948 has no pressed cups. It appears that the roller bearing in the brake drum rides directly on the axle housing. Further research looks like Ford intended the repair to include replacing the entire axle housing. Am I reading that correctly? If so, what do all the Ford folk do to repair these bearings?
  9. Have a 1948 Continental with pitting in the rear wheel bearing inner race. This is the section that is part of the axle housing. What is the repair for this problem? Thank You, Jay

  12. Can anyone indentify this door handle? It was installed on a custom body built in 1933-4. Mounted in the center of the door it appears to be a flipper type pivoting at the end. Thank You, Jay . .
  13. I have been contacted by a Curator with the State of California who is looking for someone to rebuilt the engine in a 1934-5 Studebaker Fire Truck that the state owns. The truck is in Caleveras Co. If someone could recomend a good engine man that might be interested in such a heavy project I would be happy to forword the information on. This will be a paying job and could be a good contact for future work on vintage vehicles the state owns.
