Does anyone know the top speed for a 1926 Whippet? 35 mph in high gear seems like fastest I want to rev the engine. Any faster and I am afraid I will see the rods fly out through the hood. Thanks

How would I go about straightening wooden spoke wheels? The front wheels on my 26 whippet have a bad wobble and I am pretty sure it is the spokes although I have not taken them apart. I also noticed the brake drum wobbles with the wheel so could it be the hub is out of round?

I am restoring a 26 Whippet and I have gotten to the piont where I am starting to think about paint. I have searched previous postings about paint and decided that lacquer would be the easiest to use and the most original. I still have a few questions though. Does anyone know a paint code for the blue used on the lower half of the car? Although I have some experience with painting cars, I have never used lacquer. What type of primer should be used with lacquer? Should the lacquer be thinned? What is the best type of lacquer? Thanks

I just bought a 1926 Whippet 96 Coach in mid restoration. The body has all new wood cut out for it. I was wondering if anyone could supply me with some detailed pictures of the interior with the wood visible. Especially the top and rear section. I have a full set of blueprints, but they do not clearly show how some pieces are assembled. Thanks
