I believe the Powerflite was available in '54 Plymouths.
-
Wouldn't it just burn-up with the gasoline?

It's a nice looking car but, the A/C nor the power brakes are factory, the air-cleaner is from a T-Bird but would have never been used on the full sized cars, the interior should be red and white vinyl according to the data plate. I can't tell what the two color codes, except maybe the "K".
The engine fender tag is completely wrong. It should be like this.
What is that front seat out of?

The fire wasn't actually at the museum. It was at a warehouse that housed some cars that the museum owned. Nevertheless, a sad story.
-
The 2-door hardtop was called the "Catalina" in those years.
-
It looks to be a 1962 Chrysler New Yorker. That should be a 413 engine, if original.

The narrow whitewalls on this one make it look more like it was photographed in the 60's or later

Somewhere in my collection of car magazines that I saved when I was a kid, there is a short article, w/picture, of a "factory" or "prototype" (I can't recall) Mark II convertible. I think it was in a Motor Trend or Motor Life magazine. I saw your car at the Ault Park concours. Beautiful car. We were entered with a '54 Hudson.
If my memory is correct of the b&w picture, the car was white or at least light colored.
This is the clip I was referring to:

Probably a '74 or '75. Looks more like a '74 with possibly later body parts. Definitely not a factory 350/350 HP.
-
It's a '50 Hudson Pacemaker, which had a shorter wheelbase than the Super 6 and Commodore.
-
Fury? You've got to be kidding me!
-
The Hudson in the images appears to be a Pacemaker, not a Commodore. A Pacemaker would be a series 50A or 500.

Apparently no reply to this one either.

I would think one would get a reply from the AACA on an AACA website!

How do you "view the full article"? A click on the link is the same as the preview.

I my opinion, the 8/10 is much better looking than the Samco cars.
-
I would guess 99% then.
Maybe you just don't have a cell phone or like seeker don't know how to use it. LOL
I guess that the only replies here would be those that have not. Could we all man up and be honest with ourselves here? How about a poll?
I have and am not proud of that. If I feel I need to text I now pull over. I have to pull over to hook up my hands free phone system as well. (put in the ear buds and plug them in).
No deceptive or "trick" answer here. I have a cell phone and can use it. I text quite often. I have never texted while driving.
-
Texting. That's what causes rear end collisions these days.
We have all done it but its wrong.
No, we haven't "all" done it!

Highly unlikely as Lincoln advertised the Liquimatic (semi-automatic) Transmission for the 1942 model year. Supposedly all of the few built were recalled and replaced with manual transmission. Lincoln would not have an automatic until 1949. A GM built Hydra-Matic.

That top looks terrible.

Well maybe not THAT desperate.
Did they make an SS Impala Convertible in 1963?

No solid lifter 327 was ever offered as a regular-production option on an Impala.
