  2. Stude Friends, I am sending this email to let those of you know who might be interested that I am planning by this next weekend 4/1 & 4/2 to have a series of Light Six Touring Car parts for sale on ebay. Most of the parts are fairly rusted, however with a good cleanup will work just fine. I am going through the parts this week taking photos and determinining what I am going to sell. I own a 1921 Studebaker Light Six Touring Car Model EJ. I have most of what I need for my car. The parts car I bought was a 1922 Light Six touring car. If you have any special wish lists or items you are looking for please email me at stude21@gmail.com and I will compile the lists against my parts inventory and contact you. Please make sure to include your contact information. I can be reached via the contact info below: Bryan Brooks cell: 707-208-9433

  4. Hi Joel, Thanks very much for the information. I just purchased a 639A Remy from ebay. I am hoping to find someone that can retrofit this distributor to my car. (Modify the shaft, etc). If you know of someone who does this type of work I would appreciate the reference. Thanks, BBStude21
  5. Hello, I have a 1921 Studebaker model EJ touring car that does not have the original distributor. As a matter of fact the one in the car is cracked and ready to fall apart soon. I need help in identifying the original model. Does anybody have a 20's reference book as to help me identify the original one? I have found a model 639 on ebay that has the timing mechanism and I may be able to retrofit to the car. Also, I was wondering who you could recommend for distributor work? Thanks, BBStude21
  6. Harry, Yea, I had my aluminum head redone. It is now fairly thin. It too had a leak and I had Jerry Washburn (Studebaker friend)take it to a local shop and have it repaired. It seems to work o.k now. I drove my stude alot this past summer with the new radiator and it did not overheat at all. You may still want to consider getting a new radiator at some point after you work through the head issues. BBStude21
  7. Hi Harry, Bryan Brooks here in northern CA. I contacted a local radiator shop in my area and had them retrofit a new core for my 21 Stude. I would recommend to take out the radiator and take it to a shop for an estimate. Try and use a local small business shop as they are a bit cheaper. Mine cost approx 600.00 w/tax. Bryan
  8. I saw this distributor on ebay. I know that the original distributor is a Delco Remy, however I don't know the correct model. I attached a picture of the one I found on ebay. Does anybody that has a 20's touring know if this one will work? BBStude21
  9. Does anyone know of a good source for making a set of vintage battery cables? I contacted a couple of welding supply companies in my area and they won't make them.
  10. My key switch stopped working completely on my 21 light six. I have a toggle switch temporarily installed. If anybody has one or knows of one please email me at bryansbrooks@sbcglobal.net. Thanks, BBStude21
  11. I am trying to connect my throttle control on my 21 Stude. The manual I have is not much help with the actual connections for the connecting rods at the end of the steering gear mechanism. I have everything I need in place I think. If there is anybody that would be willing can take a picture of the connecting rods on their car and email it to me I would really appreciate the guidance. 12. I would like to re-create the "Vintage" type conection from my water pump to my radiator on my 1921 Studebaker. From what I can tell it was a short piece of hose from the water pump to a pipe (? not sure what kind) to a hose then to the radiator. I need a recommendation of what type of pipe that was. Steel? I guess. BBStude21
  13. Hi George, I have gotten rid of the parts. Primarily what I had was the front cowl section, the frame, and a front drive unit section. BBStude21

  15. Anybody have a gas gauge/float mechanism for a 1921 Light Six touring car? I have attached a picture as a reference point on the Gas tank.
