A press photo dating from May 15, 1956, shows how GM inspectors were able to spot sheet metal and paint flaws on finished cars. The “zebra stripe” light and shadow technique patterns are interrupted by surface flaws. Using this method problems which are hard to see under shadowless lighting are very apparent.- 4

I got 10 years, 10 months out of a Delco battery in my 85 Oldsmobile. The replacement battery didn't last half that long.

I bought this 1985 Oldsmobile new in June 1985. It now has 158,500 miles on it. The only engine work besides oil changes, was a valve cover gasket. All paint is original except the outside rear view mirrors. The clear coat was peeling. I changed the original wheels when I could no longer find 205/70 R13 RWL tires.
