Thanks wk's olds -
There's also interesting cars on first video at 2:20.. Chrysler/DeSoto (?) Suburbans?? Got any better pics of those ?
Any 30's MoPars at the yard?
-
What really caught my eye - as an european .. Was there really an Ifa/DWK F9 -model in the second video at 1:08 ?!?!
Did they sold them in US as well?!?!
-
Where's the pic of the Cord?!?!? I loooove Cords!
Great pictures and cars from a different side of world! Thanks!

Hi John. Wow, what a small world. No, this one is not from Dieter,
BUT I BOUGHT MY RED 1957 IMPERIAL FROM HIM IN 2000 !!! How's he(they) doing at the moment? Still got those oddballs ?
This white '64 Imperial came from near San Francisco. Kenyon Wills sold it for me, but it was located on Doc Bullocks Imperial-yard.

Thanks Peter(and Ken too of course!)!! Now I'm much wiser again.. !!
Yep, the car was left to a yard in SF,CA in early 80's, and some parts were sold from it. I received the car for myself early this year.
What I did:
changed
- distributor points
- fluids and oils
- coil
- spark plugs
- carb
- water pump
- 1 freeze plug
- cleaned up gas tank
- rebuilt the brakes
It still needs some electrical work (and new exhaust system)and some test driving.
But the 413 engine and tranny seems to work fine!!

Peter, embedding doesn't work !? What am I doing wrong?!

Hi,
have you tried www.oldmoparts.com or www.robertsmotorparts.com or www.antiquedodgeparts.com ?
They could possibly help you.
Are you looking for rubber mounts for frame? (between body & frame?)
-
Is it something like in mopar water pump ? I remember chrysler using these pulleys in big blocks (atleast) '62-> ? I think my '64 has one as well, but never had to replace the bearing . Haven't you ever heard "If it ain't broken, don't fix it" ?
-
Hi Rod, check www.robertsmotorparts.com i thnk they might have new hub caps?
-
This is just a guess, but I believe that the shorter shoe comes ALWAYS to front.
-
As a favour for all our help, you have to take us all for a ride in your '39
... just kidding ..
-
Got mine today! The cover seems to be great! (and of course the whole magazine )
-
Dan, Here are the parts for you

Does your service manual show the brake mounting plate in the diagram that you are looking at? </div></div>
I guess we are looking at the same picture, BUT, why would the shim plates be after the brake shield(on the drum side)? I guess the shim plates should tight up the horizonal movement of the rear wheel bearing?
(wow, i hope you understand what I mean with my english )

Hi Dan,
According to my 39 dodge parts book...
Do these plates have 5 bolt holes?
Those plates come between rear axle housing and "axle drive shaft bearing oil seal"
I think that if the horn gets power but does not honk then it's a bad horn.
If the relay is bad, the horn wouldn't get any power .

I can't wait to see it !! I think every number has been well more than I ever expected. Thanks for great editors!
-
But what's the chassis in the pics?!
-
I don't have a model number yet. Need one for spare parts.
Thanks!!

Serial #'s can be found on front end of left frame member to rear of front spring hanger or just above rear front spring hanger.
</div></div>
Are you sure about this? I tried to find one from my trucks frame and never found anything
My frame has been sand blasted many years ago, so maybe the serial disappeared because of that???
-
I tried to look up my 1939 Dodge parts manual if there's anything like those, but found out nothing. I can check my '38 Dodge truck's front suspension today if I see something like them.
Can they hold for ex. brakelines to the frame?
You can't find any empty bolt holes on your front end?
And these weren't put anywhere on front springs? Some old DIY-fix?
Ah, you never mentioned that you did front end fix.. ?
What did you fix up from your car, or was it totally disassembled?

Hello Peter, check www.fatfenderedrelics.com , i guess David may have some parts for you?
New, old mystery guage?
in What is it?

I'd guess it's a voltage gauge, but no idea of make.
