  1. Just wanted to take a few min to thank YALL (one of the things I learned in Texas) for the great time in Plano. It is always nice to meet some of the people

on this discussion page. What a nice bunch of cars that everyone has. Everyone

is a keeper and regardless of where the Reatta will prove to be in the big scope of Buick everyone should be very proud of your ride as they are very special and should be treated that way. Again thanks for the good time and I hope everyone made it home safely. Any one ever coming to Wichita or Just passing through the coffee pot is always on and you are always welcome

  2. When going through my shed getting ready for the plano show

I found a couple of old center caps. They have road rash and are

not very good quality, but the gold centers are real good. I will be out of

town for a couple of weeks but if you are interested let me know.

    contact me at Igor@wichitausa.com

  3. Hey Craig about the truck yah she hit the pole, 2700.00

in damage but I will fix it when the Buick show is over

I will drive it to plano and pull the Reatta. The show at Derby

raised about 4000.00 for the kids and we are going to expand it

again next year. I will not be going to the Zoo this year as I am

not going to be driving back to Wichita till Sunday but if you are

in Plano on Thursday of Friday give me a call 316-655-1099 we can hook

up for dinner of lunch or ? let me know If you go to Automobilia look me up

I will be in the BMW garage next door, I do his trophies, but will have some time there also

    Take care and drive carefully

  5. Well Mike I went ahead and purchased the windshield for $900.00

plus tax in a crate where it is secure till I really need it. I had

them take it out of the crate before I bought it and it is perfect. I understand

that there is another new windshield in Tulsa Oklahoma and I was told that it

has a small osyter on the very bottom, I have asked for a photo to see the damage. I was told that the glass most likely was set down too hard and created the osyter, but it was so small that it would not be a problem. I asked the price and was told that it was $500.00. I was not interested but someone might be. If anyone wants more information E-Mail me and I will give you all the information that I have.

  6. Hi Craig, yes I tried them and no luck, I have a star on mine and

I have been looking high and low. I thought that $600.00 was what

I thought that everyone was paying but I guess that times are a changing.

Are you going to be able to come to the Derby Car show on June 5? Should be a

big show and I think that we will have at least 3 Reatta's maybe 4 with yours

    Chuck

  7. does anyone here know what a fair price for a new windshied would

be, i want to have one for a spare and have located one but the price is

$900.00. Is that a fair price it seems high to me, is there any help out there

    thanks

  8. Barney I have checked 3 other Reatta's in the Wichita area

and all 3 of them have the McGard Key. one has a pink dot, one has a

white dot and one has a blue dot, so I am assuming that they were the

company that furnished the locks to Buick. The only thing that I cant find

out is how many different locks were there. How many color dots could have been

used. I would venture a guess that there were not over 20 different locks and then they were repeted. I would bet that each set had a color dot. If any one has a key look and see if there is a color dot on it.

  9. It would appear that the guard keys that lock the lug nuts

were color coded. Does any one have any idea how many colors

were used, who made them and are they available? How can I tell

which key to try to find looking at the wheel. The key that I have

has a white dot but it is not the right key. Any info would be appreciated.

and yes I know that I can take them off without a key but I want to keep the

    car right

    thanks

  10. lots of e-mails around that may 19 is a dont buy gas day, how

if this could work maybe this would lower the price of gas, it is

out of control. sooo dont buy gas if you can avoid it and lets see what

happens. probably nothing, but lets try

  11. Hey anyone living close to McPherson Kansas and wanting to go

to a super car show do so this weekend, the featured car is a 1929

Rolls Royce Phantom I It was awarded Best in Class & Most Elegant Closed

car at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. This show is at the College Automotive Restoration which is the only accredited degree restoration program in the country today. It is quite a place. Further information at www.mcpherson.edu. My ol Reatta should give that Rolls a run for its money lol.

  12. I have found another car in a salvage yard in Wichita,Kansas

and it has lots of good parts. The car was in an accident and

the drivers fender is gone the windshield is not good, but all

other windows including the vent windows are there and in good shape.

three of the wheels are there and have the usual road rash. Both door handles

are in tact. This car is going to be parted out and when i talked to the salvage owner he was going to inventory the parts in the next week or so

so i told him that i would post the car here and if anyone has any interest in

any parts e-mail me and i would have him get back with you. I am going to take some photos of the car in the next few days and if anyone wants photos let me know Chuck in Wichita igor@wichitausa.comI also now have digital photos if anyone is interested....

  13. You are 100% right, the 88,89 had 2 keys in the black plastic

case and the 90,91 had only one key in the case for the reason

you mentioned, this is important information for someone wanting to

have their car 100% right thanks

  14. Mark I have spent several hours doing research on this subject and from

what I have been able to find out is that the '88 and '89 only came with

a leather fold over with the Pen and the plastic set of keys. The owners manual

was Approx 8 1/2x 5 1/2 and the pen was in a loop on the left hand side of leather foldover the plastic keys and 2 slots were provided for salesman cards.

The '90 and '91 came with the zippered portfilo which contains a Pen, Penlignt and tire guage along with the owners manual it is smaller 7 1/2 x 5. The portfolio also came with a plastic set of keys, a road atlas, the story of the Reatta " A Handcrafted Buick", a note pad and a card to order an engraved portfolio name plate to stick on the outside of the zippered case. There was a flap that covered up the owners manual and it contained the craftsman log. I think the early '90's some of them must have come with a side fold owners manual that was the same size as the other 90 91 items This was a side fold with the pen only on the right hand side. All three items have the gold Reatta in the middle. I have managed to secure all 3 of these and i can forward photos to to you if you like.

contact me at igor@wichitausa.com I had a hard time finding the flashlight and the tire guage but the pen seems to be pretty common. I dont know any for sale but you will find them on e-bay from time to time

  15. Nic I am with you, lets hope and pray that the shooting stops

very soon, my son is at the age that he could end up there and

I can only hope that he does not have to go. Pray we get our young

folks home asap and in one piece. Boy there is a lot of people in this

world that have a lot more problems than I have

    Happy Easter
