One thing I missed from the previous Website layout is the "sold" listing. It was nice to know how fast a car or part sold once posted, can you please tell me why that feature was removed?. Also, I notice that the listed items are not always sorted properly. I like to see the latest car/part first .I know that by paying extra, the ad can be listed at the top, but it seems that the list is randomly sorted.
thank you for all you work
regards
jose
Any sold item is tagged as "sold".
Feature not so much removed as new software used to generate the classified doesnt have that feature. I'll look into it.
People can chose to add "featured" to their ad putting them at the top. Otherwise they are alway sorted in oldest to newest order. Is that not what you see?

Having built online registrations for car club events I can tell you it's complicated.
Every event is different with vastly varying requirements. For the most part you need to start from scratch with each one including:
- Dealing with people, events, cars and judging registrations
- complexity of attaching it to existing management systems (member, cars, judges, and judging)
- region registration person's level of technical skills (or lack of)
- chief judge's level of technical skills (or lack of)
- money and security issues
- changes (like throwing a nut in an engine)
- Creating reports
- ... the list goes on
I sympathize with the national office. It can be a complicated mess so forethought on how to do it right the first time is paramount.

His latest political tyrade…
The place that complaints should be lodged where they will do the most good is The BALLOT BOX come November! Anyone with even an average IQ (who hasn't had their head buried in an orifice south of their head) can figure out what to do to fix the problem when they get into the booth! Remember......Apathy is just as bad as voting the wrong way, so don't stay home!
God Bless & Merry Christmas

Tame I guess… but considering he’s had countless warnings about political posts…
did you send him a note what you edited his post?

Peter, I'm using my ACAA password to get to the HCCA membership ... are these now the same club? did we merge? & I see the heading on this web page is Help! Chris Chartier ianmacleodsclan@yahoo.com
Nope
2 separate organizations.
Not sure how you got the impression they merged?
Not sure what this means "I see the heading on this web page is Help! "

"Sock it to the Doc" rationalization
That's a new one to me. What does it mean?
Fully aware of "Peter principle". "Peter principal" is a new one though. 🥴

I met them both by chance at an AACA event. They both were so charming and engaging. It wasn't until I read a placard on the car they were standing next to did I realize who they were.
Surprising to me, they knew me by name from my days as an AACA director, and as the founder of these forums. They were so positive and thankful for my contributions to the hobby.
I felt I was in the presence of antique automobile royalty. No matter. Just plain good people.

Let me get this right...
- Truck - $70,000
- Trailer - $30,000
- Gas - $250
- Antique car(s) - $10,000-$1,000,000+
- Garage filled with tools and parts - $100,000
- Hotel room for the week - $1,000
- Food for the week - $200
Now compare that to the cost of the swap meet space - $100.
Before you nitpick my numbers: Even if I overstated the numbers by 5, the cost of the space is still trivial.
As to the cost of AACA membership at $45. It's a steal, to complain about it seems unreasonable considering the benefits.

Also @Peter Gariepy, I'm not sure why you unpinned this topic, but I think it helps people to find the right place to pass along free stuff if it's pinned. Just my $0.02.
I disagree.
If someone has something to give away start a new post.- 1

He might also want to consider creating one topic per video with a robust topic title and post them in the model t forum
-
I strongly suggest you add some text to each of the video posts to include the title of the video. That’ll help the surge engines know what they are so that they can share them.
-
I suggest you also contact the local club in your area.
Maybe get a few members to help you sort through the stuff you have. Might be more efficient than posting random parts here, especially if there is a lot.

Recommendation:
- Better topic title ( I changed it)
- Be more direct in your questions in the description: Example: "I have a 1917 Maxwell and need help with overheating and other issues. Can anyone help?" Your novel of lead up to your question distracts from getting you answers.
- You live PA, the MECA for old car guys... there are lots of people to help. But you need to take the effort to join local clubs and reach out.
