It is my understanding that the dimensions of the base are slightly different between these two. However, very few people can tell the difference (I'd bet). And, the newer mirrors seem to be about one-third the price of the original sport mirrors at swap meets! John

Hi, Gang. I'm looking for any and all of the parts that I'll need to mount a 1970-1972 Buick Rallye (3-spoke) Steering Wheel on my car. I have the tan wheel and the tan "Buick" horn button. However, I could use the three flathead machine screws, horn contact and other horn blowing parts, the colored hub that mounts under the steering wheel, AND anything else I might be forgeting. I would be interested in any color metal hub for the rallye steering wheel. I'll just paint to match. Hopefully, I've been clear...HAVE steering wheel and decorative Buick horn button....NEED everything else. Thanks for the help. John

Hi, Gang. Let me add another item to Bill's excellent checklist posted above. I suggest covering all tailpipe ends, plus the air cleaner intake. I've had little critters seek entry to my old cars through these openings in the past. AND, this was in good home garage storage, not in a drafty ol' barn. You can use alluminum foil, heavy plastic, or window screening. I place the material over the opening and then keep it in place with masking or duct tape. Just remember to take these "guards" off before trying to start your Buick in the spring! Best, John

Guess I wasn't logged in when I posted the message above about having some of the AC disposable oil filters. It was me! Best, John in Wisconsin (See e-mail address on the posting above.)
