  4. Hey this is good news... but then again, Chrysler has always enjoyed success in Canada, even during the late seventies when Iacocca took over Chrysler in the USA.

    THE CANADIAN PRESS</span>

Chrysler Canada hauled in a 5.6 per cent sales increase in 2007, pulling decisively ahead of Ford as the country's second-largest seller of cars and trucks. Chrysler said Thursday its deliveries last month were up 2.9 per cent from December 2006, and full-year volume advanced to 232,859.Market leader General Motors, meanwhile, moved 403,410 units on the year, down 4.2 per cent from 2006 – with a 28 per cent slump in December.Marc Comeau, GM Canada's vice-president of sales, explained that GM has continued reducing low-profit sales to rental fleets, and "while this strategy has resulted in some overall sales declines we are experiencing good retail sales performance, higher residual values and solid sales from our recently introduced cars and trucks."At Chrysler, year-over-year sales were higher in every month of 2007 as the automaker introduced nine new models and also steered away from rental-fleet sales. Its overall sales increase enabled it to boost its market share.Sales at its Jeep division surged 62 per cent to a record 47,693, while Canadians bought 56,572 Dodge and Chrysler minivans. For General Motors, the dismal December numbers included sales of 9,678 passenger cars, down 42.4 per cent from December 2006, while purchases of GM trucks, including pickups and sport utility vehicles, declined 15.9 per cent to 16,412.

  5. Gary Goers will have this weatherstrip. He has a PDF catalog for download on his web site. He is very reliable but the best way to get the stuff is just send an order form with a check or money order and he will send it to you. He works on this stuff 18 / 7, a one man operation, and doesn't have much time for answering phone calls so he doesn't generally. His web site is http://www.tomandgaryinc.com/garygoers/index.htm I've known him for 25 years and you can definitely be sure he will treat you right. Once you order from him you will usually have the stuff within 3 weeks.

  7. I have a factory sales video of the 1962 Chryslers that shows some very punishing workouts on the torqueflite trans, slamming it back and forth into drive and reverse and smoking up the tires.

To verify the trans going into neutral at high speeds, I once mistakenly hit the reverse button in my 1960 Dodge Polara at about 40 MPH, and just like it was supposed to, it went straight into Neutral, no damage. On another note, if you just touch the reverse button while in drive, without engaging the gear change, the back up lights will activate, at least they would on that 60 Dodge and they will on my 1962 Chrysler 300. This is great for tail-gaters.

Enter your message here : I have a car that belonged to my father that we are most likely going to sell. I am notifying your club as I would like to see it preserved and not turned into a hot rod. The car is a 1931 plymouth roadster, rumble seat, side mounts. Amateur restoration in the 1980's. My dad pulled the head off about 10 years ago as it was overheating...it is still sitting as he left it. I may just advertise the car, but as I said I would like someone who is genuinely interested in keeping it original to own it. The car is located in El Dorado, CA.

Phone 530-626-3640. I can take and send pics if desired. I think my dad was a member of your club in the 1970's as he took his 27 Chrysler Finer 70 coupe to some of your shows in So-Cal. We are Mopar folks...I have two Challengers, my mom has a 65 Dart Convert. and we still have the 55 Belvedere that my dad bought new when I was just 3 years old</span></span>
